The executor director advanced the organization a total of 23,000 to help pay for business expenses. It is the intention of the board of directors to repay this amount back to the executive director. Although there currently is no written documentation to document the liability, both parties have agreed to formalize the transaction in the form of a note payable, including interest, from the organization to the executive director. This is expected to be approved at the february 2017 board of directors' meeting.

Resilient kids organization (also d/b/a center for resilience) seeks to empower people to empower themselves through the practice of mindfulness which fosters success in the classroom, community and workplace. Our trained staff, tailored curriculum, interactive workshops, and online resources help children and adults manage stress, overcome obstacles, cultivate compassion and thrive through adversity--outcomes that benefit both the individual and society as a whole.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

Following a re-branding, the organization now shares stress management, perseverance, empathy, and emotional intelligence with the classroom, community, and workplace. In the classroom, bullying and stress has gone down while focus has increased. In the community and workplace, attendees are reporting a reduction in stress and an increase in mindfulness and resilience. This year, we worked with over 1,500 students each week in the classroom for the full school year to continue reducing behavior and discipline referrals, stress and bullying, while increasing empathy and time on task.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 29

We conducted a training program for educators, which was attended by various other members of the community as well. This prompted a re-branding from 'resilientkids' to 'center for resilience' so as to better meet the needs of our expanding audience. While the resilientkids curriculum is still offered in the schools, we have just started offering complementary programs to the community and the workplace.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt5RESILIENT KIDS ORGANIZATION (ALSO D/B/A CENTER FOR RESILIENCE) SEEKS TO EMPOWER PEOPLE TO EMPOWER THEMSELVES THROUGH THE PRACTICE OF MINDFULNESS WHICH FOSTERS SUCCESS IN THE CLASSROOM,COMMUNITY AND WORKPLACE. OUR TRAINED STAFF, TAILORED CURRICULUM,INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS, AND ONLINE RESOURCES HELP CHILDREN AND ADULTS MANAGE STRESS, OVERCOME OBSTACLES, CULTIVATE COMPASSION AND THRIVE THROUGH ADVERSITY--OUTCOMES THAT BENEFIT BOTH THE INDIVIDUAL AND SOCIETY AS A WHOLE.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt6FOLLOWING A RE-BRANDING, THE ORGANIZATION NOW SHARES STRESS MANAGEMENT, PERSEVERANCE, EMPATHY, AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE WITH THE CLASSROOM, COMMUNITY, AND WORKPLACE.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt7WE CONDUCTED A TRAINING PROGRAM FOR EDUCATORS, WHICH WAS ATTENDED BY VARIOUS OTHER MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY AS WELL.
