Support Groups provides a meetup membership and trained volunteer facilitator for each support group. Despite Covid preventing in-person meetings, we were able to take meetings online via Zoom. There are 64 (up from 55 last year) individual meet-up groups spread internationally with a focus in the United States. A total of 2127 people met this year with 305 meetings occurring throughout the year. Support Groups meet monthly and discuss mental wellness techniques as well as share struggles in the process of adjusting to changing beliefs.$0$13,275
The Helpline Project has implemented new volunteer-developed chat software that will eliminate the need to continue a yearly chat software subscription. The software also allows the volunteers to achieve their tasks more easily. Volunteers also developed ways to make chats safer and easier for clients reachin g out from at-risk locations. Calls and chats answered remains steady in the 70 percent range. The online community has 2079 members, up from 1425 the previous year. Additionally, a self help subgroup has been added that addresses critical thinking skills and mental wellness recovery.$0$763
The Secular Therapy Project is a searchable and interactive database that allows mental health professionals to list themselves as licensed and providing evidence-based therapy. Clients are then able to find mental health professionals who have been thoroughly vetted by our team of therapists. There are 572 (up from 469 last year) therapists listed and over 26,160 (up from 21,000 last year) potential clients registered.$0$720
Our blog moved platforms this year from Patheos to Medium and is growing in readership. Additional authors and editors have been added to the blog team, and as indicated by revenue sent by Medium, interest is growing and readers are finding us more easily. We currently have about 59 contributing authors and have increased the frequency and regularity of articles released with a total of 20 this year that were read about 7200 times.$0$50
Resources and the RFR Library help to provide a comprehensive listing of books, videos, organizations, companies, and any other media or entity that may help those who are recovering from religion. The resources are available directly on our website to anyone. The RFR Library is housed in our volunteer slack so that our agents are able to reference material quickly to help clients. This year, Resources changed leadership and underwent a significant transformation with more resources listed, categorized for easier browsing, and vetted as current.$0$0
Online programming has been recently added as an official program with most of its content available on our Youtube channel. Production of this content is achieved using our existing software, free software provided by platforms, and the time and effort of our volunteers and extended network of speakers and mental health professionals. Programming includes overviews of our programs, interviews with our leadership, and weekly discussions where the audience is able to listen to a speaker and then participate in live discussions with that speaker. Topics covered primarily involve mental wellness, education about different religions, and recovery from religious trauma. Weekly live attendance averages about 100 people. Our Youtube content received about 30,000 views this year. Additionally, the audio was converted to podcast form with about 109,000 downloads this year.$0$0
