Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The mission of the organization is for the center to provide alternatives leading to the peaceable resolution of disputes and reconciliation of disputing parties. Individuals involved in disputes should not be treated strictly as adversaries, but as members of a community that, once fractured, needs to be brought together. Our goal is not merely to resolve disputes. We endeavor, where appropriate, to "reconcile" parties-that is, to repair and strengthen the bonds that link us together and to enhance our skils as individual and community members. We seek to prevent future disputes through proactive training and outreach programs.
