| The Wolfram Summer Programs, supported through the Wolfram Foundation, are four summer programs aimed at promoting the use of science and computation to explore new areas of research, develop new innovative technology, and strengthen STEM skills. Wolfram Science Summer School is a unique educational and career opportunity to learn and do an original project at the frontiers of science, primarily for college and graduate students. Wolfram Innovation Summer School is a new program in which students learn hands-on from senior staff at Wolfram how to apply Wolfram's unique approach to creating ideas and turning them into products and companies. Wolfram Tech Innovation Summer Camp is a camp providing a unique opportunity for entrepreneurial precollege students to learn about innovative technology and how to create it. | The Foundational Questions Institute (FQXi), through the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, awarded the Wolfram Foundation a grant to develop a high profile series of Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) on "The Physics of Informationother big questions of foundational character. The project is collaborative with institutions such as the University of Oxford and Karolinska Institute. The primary aim was the developement of the MOOCs to acquaint the interested public with the latest developments in research with a computational slant into the most fundamental questions in the physical and biological sciences. The materials developed with this grant are expected to go live mid-2016 and be offered as courses on ComplexityExplorer, https://www.complexityexplorer.org/. We anticipate to enroll at least 1,000 students for each MOOC. The materials have attracted several other researchers to develop their own MOOCs using this project as a model. | - | - |
