“On january 5, 2019 we began with our annual staff party at the farm. A white elephant exchange game and several other games brought a lot of laughs and fun for the entire group. Several of our group went to equifest in topeka kansas for a two day fun event. We shopped booths, watched shows and ate yummy food while we were there. Mustange maddie was the highlight of the events we watched, helping us learn how to handle mustangs if and when we are able to rescue some. In april we began our program with mentor and assistant training sessions. We brought onto our team several new faces with a lot of enthusiasm and vitality. Sessions began later that month on the 22nd with 62 participants. We finished up our spring sessions in june and began to plan for our big fall farm festival in september. We took off the first two weeks of july so we could do some much needed repair around the farm. August 1st we were back in the saddle with 54 more kids for fall sessions. September 21st we held our annual fall farm fest. Our day was a little soggy with somewhat wet ground but it did not stop the fun. The kids arena had a multitude of games including a cake walk and face painting. We had a petting area, pony rides, pumpkin patch, and sinclair's catering did our big food booth. As well as cookie dough food truck and an animal rescue with puppies to adopt. October our annual kids fun show had to be canceled because of rain storms. Our fall sessions closed on october 10th. All in all it was a great year”
