“Due to the urgent Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting crisis in New York City, our volunteers, in collaboration with volunteers with similar organizations in the area, used our skills and equipment in textiles, 3D printing, 3D design, low-volume manufacturing and rapid prototyping to design, produce and distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for frontline workers in New York City and elsewhere. We distributed more than 100,000 pieces of PPE, including face shields and face masks.”

“The Bylaws were amended, changing the structure of the board of directors and the officers. Instead of the three officers serving as ex-officio directors, each a separate elected office, with two additional at-large directors, the entire board is now elected directly by the members. The board then chooses the officers from among their number. The board now consists of at least three and at most five directors, and new rules were adopted for filling vacancies.”
