Constitución and Álvaro Obregón,Santa Rosalia, Baja California Sur, 23920, Mexico. EcoWB partners with Fundación Hagamos Más Por Santa Rosalía, A.C. (FHMSR) a small Mexican non-profit organization based in Santa Rosalía, BCS, Mexico, on the Mulegé Sustainable Fisheries Project (MSFP), which EcoWB initiated in 2013. EcoWB receives grant funding for the MSFP and donates a considerable amount of time and effort to the project. FHMSR promotes sustainable development in the Municipality of Mulegé through a variety of social, environmental, and economic development programs designed to improve the welfare of local residents. In 2018, EcoWB invited FHMSR to help implement the MSFP, which is based on sustainable fisheries standards and improvement strategies developed by the Marine Stewardship Council. In 2021, EcoWB granted FHMSR a total of $80,762 so its staff could assist with fieldwork, facilitate the involvement of local fishermen and other stakeholders, and ensure compliance with the social responsibility aspects of the project. EcoWB and FHMSR work side by side on the MSFP, dividing responsibilities and tasks according to their respective capabilities to ensure success of the project. EcoWB maintains full control over the project, as detailed in monthly progress reports (required for monthly grant disbursements), grant project completion reports, and social media.”
