Mission

Resources and response for families with pets displaced by residential disaster.

To provide on demand emergency response, search and rescue, transport, medical care, foster care, wellness for pet owners following a disaster in their home with the goal of reuniting when the family recovers. To date, we have responded to 4,000 residential disaster response calls, assisted 3,050 pets and 1700 families with emergency search and rescue, transport, extraordinary medical care, spay, neuter and vaccinations, supplies, foster care and boarding and have reunited more than 90% of our pets with their families.

Emergency Incident Response, Rescue, and Care - Red Paw directly responds to incidents. Red Paw's trained responders provide immediate search and rescue, emergency medical care, owner support and ongoing wellness and resource support to our pets and their people. 20% discount for emergency medical care at Penn Vet$0$0
Emergency Transport - In addition, to response and search and rescue, our responders transport animals to emergency facilities.$0$0
Long-term foster or boarding for each animal, as well as necessary medical care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter. More than 94% of families affected by fires or other disasters are reunited with their beloved pets.$0$0
Outreach and education - Pet fire safety brochures, Information Cards for including pets in your family evacuation plan and resource list. 10,400 brochures and fire safety plan checklists distributed at monthly pet pantry's and fire-safety walk-thrus with the Philadelphia Fire Department and American Red Cross. 2500 students reached at gradeschool pet fire safety presentations in four counties.$0$0
