| Central America and the Caribbean | Program Services | Tribal Gathering is our main program and it is the hub where the rest of charitable projects with the indigenous communities invited are forged. Once a year we bring together indigenous people from over twenty countries from five continents to partake in Tribal Gathering. It's an 18 day international gathering on a beach in the Caribbean, attracting paying attendees from more than forty countries. In 2016 we had around 1000 participants that benefited from it. Indirectly, its reach is a lot bigger through the consequent projects performed with the communities partaking as well as the connections made during the event with participants from all over the world. The tribespeople run workshops, presentations and rituals on various aspects of indigenous art and culture to share with the other fellow tribes and with the international audience. Other non-indigenous also run workshops throughout the event to educate the general public on environmental and social issues, nutrition, health. | 1 | 2 | $537,710 |

“Timothy J. Raper, President and Jayne Raper, Secretary are siblings.”
“Geoparadise's President and the Treasurer review and approve Form 990 before filing.”
“Each Responsible Person annually completes a disclosure form identifying any relationships, positions, or circumstances in which the Responsible Person is involved that he or she believes could contribute to a Conflict of Interest arising. Such relationships, positions, or circumstances might include service as a director of or consultant to a not-for-profit organization, or ownership of a business that might provide goods or services to Geoparadise, Inc. Each Responsible Person should also disclose to the board of directors any potential Conflict of Interest that may arise during the course of the year between the submission of annual disclosure forms. Any such information regarding business interests of a Responsible Person or a Family Member shall be treated as confidential and shall generally be made available only to the Chair, the Executive Director, and any committee appointed to address Conflicts of Interest, except to the extent additional disclosure is necessary in connection with the implementation of this Policy. The chair and executive director review all the annual disclosures to ensure that they were completed by all responsible parties and to follow-up on any potential conflict of interest to properly resolve it. Similarly, the conflict of interest policy is reviewed annually by each member of the board of directors. Any changes to the policy shall be communicated immediately to all Responsible Persons.”
“A lawyer specializing in nonprofit organizations was consulted by directors of the organization compensation. The lawyer used comparability data to verify that compensation being paid met the "reasonable" requirement for a non-profit.”
“Upon request.”
“Form 990, Part III, Line 4d - Other program services. Geoparadise Inc. also offered other smaller programs and projects such as: LIVESTOCK BREEDING PROGRAM. In the area where the Tribal Gathering takes place, GeoParadise has a rural base of operations were infrastructure and equipment for the festival is kept safe and cared for, and which also had become the space for our new ongoing livestock breeding program. Seeing the constant demand for livestock donations coming from the Guna tribe, we decided to implement a breeding program which would provide the piglets needed for said donations. (2) Started with 3 piglets in July 2015: 2 females and 1 male. Our volunteers feed them and care for them and after reaching adulthood, the first litter of piglets were born in March 2016. Four piglets from a different mother were purchased to mate with 4 of our home bred piglets and make 4 future breeding couples. They were donated to the Guna tribe in May/June 2016. WIXARICA: WATER PROJECT - The Wixarica shared their need for a water system in their community that needed completion. The water system was half completed from the Mexican government. With the system completed, the water would pump to 150 homes, supplying 400 people with water. This would be a big improvement for the community because they carry water daily from a small spring, some as far as 1km. The second phase of this project consisted in contacting engineers in regards in how to complete the half finished system. With their direction, we became aware of the need to obtain a pump and parts. A pump company, Franklin Electric, that does charitable pump donations for communities in Africa, was contacted and they donated a pump and parts to the Wixarica. In October 2015, the pump and parts were delivered to the community. The project is in relation to the mission statement whereas the project provided basic necessities (access to drinking water) to low-income, disadvantaged, and other distressed populations and communities. There were other smaller programs that account for the difference in expenditures between the programs listed in Part III, Part 4a to 4d and the total program expenses listed on Part IX Statement of Functional Expenses.”

The tribespeople run workshops, presentations and rituals on various aspects of indigenous art and culture to share with the other fellow tribes and with the international audience. Other non-indigenous also run workshops throughout the event to educate the general public on environmental and social issues, nutrition, health, sustainable development, etc. There are two music stages with international artists performing eclectic, global and electronic music and a plethora of art installations and exhibits all to pursue the understanding and appreciation of art by the general public. This event will eventually become the main fundraiser for our charitable projects. Once the event is financially sustainable, which we foresee will happen in the 2018 edition, we will train and hand it over to a management team that involves the attending tribes. We aim to set up more of these events around the world, creating a global indigenous networking platform that can finance numerous projects and reach all corners of the planet where natives are in need of a voice, support, leverage, cultural preservation and self-determination. Tribal Gathering is run mainly by volunteers, some coming only for the event, some who are also involved during the rest of the year in other aspects of our organization and its indigenous projects. GeoParadise for this period had also 2 paid officers who have managed the event production and promotion as well as many other aspects of the organization as a whole. Here is a list of the workshops, talks and presentations that took place there: (a) Natural Holistic Health and Body Movement; (b) Environment and Sustainable Development; (c) Music, Arts and Crafts; (d) Geopardise Charitable Projects; and (e) Indigenous Culture. |

This time we met with a tribal member, Nelson, in Bogota to purchase a small order of beads for their community to be used in creating handicrafts, their main source of income. These beads we bought as precursor to the large order we placed through overseas manufacture. The need for the small order was to give the Chami's time to create their crafts before an upcoming big arti-crafts fair that was taking place in Bogotá in December 2015. After discussion the Chami stressed their need for help with travel and lodging for this event, which Geoparadise was able to fund. Phase 3 In December 2015 GeoParadise sent a couple of volunteers to the fair to take pictures and film the event, the crafts made from the beads donated in October and get feedback from the participation of the Chami in it. Phase 4 A wholesale order of 650 kg of chaquira beads (50 kg of 13 different colors) was placed to a chinese manufacturer in October 2015. The order arrived in colombia in January 2016 and was imported and delivered to the Embera Chami community via their artisan asociación Nabera Jua Pensamiento Ancestral. The association's 65 members and their families (some of which are made up to 10-15 people) benefited from this donation. GeoParadise covered the costs of the beads, transport and import of the order into Colombia. The Chami are a displaced community, which lost their ancestral lands due to persistent guerrilla violence in the area, and now live in the slams of Pereira, surviving in precarious conditions with small crowded houses and usually selling jewelry in the streets as their main source of income. The project is in relation to the mission statement whereas the project provided basic necessities to low-income, disadvantaged, and other distressed populations and communities as well as supporting traditional arts and crafts |

| IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc | 0 | KAMAYURA COMMUNITY MEETING HALL / VISITORS CENTER (AUG/SEP 2015) The Kamayura shared their interest in building a community meeting hall and visitors center with a new architecture design that they had seen at Tribal Gathering Festival. The Kamayura wanted to learn how to make these types of structures, so the whole community took part in the building of this center when the Geoparadise team arrived. All people in the Kamayura village, around 700 members, could use the center when completed. The center would be used to hold ceremonies and celebrations, present and sell their jewelry to tourists, and facilitate training programs such as when the fire department came to town. The project is in relation to the mission statement whereas the project promotes and supports public understanding and appreciation of art and helps the community to generate income from tourism as well as providing a space for social and cultural activities in the community. |

| IRS990ScheduleF/AccountActivitiesOutsideUSGrp/SpecificServicesProvidedTxt | 0 | Tribal Gathering is our main program and it is the hub where the rest of charitable projects with the indigenous communities invited are forged. |
