Both members have the authority to appoint three members to the governing body of grand view - lehigh valley health services.

Form 990, Part VI, Sec A, Line 7B, Decisions requiring approval by members or stockholders

When the unanimity of the authorized representatives of each member cannot be achieved the matter shall be referred to the president and ceo of each of the members (grand view hospital and lehigh valley hospital). The ceos will meet and discuss the issue in an attempt to resolve the deadlock. If the deadlock is not resolved, an independent member shall be appointed and given authority to resolve the issue with the ceos of each member hospital.
