Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Lucky Paws Rescue's main purpose is to help end pet homelessness one pet at a time. Through education, and community involvement we hope to make a dent in ending the breeding cycle of already homeless pets, by teaching the importance of altering pets. We take animals from shelters when there is no space to house them, or they have medical or behavioral issues that deem them un-adoptable. These animals would be euthanized if rescues were not able to take them. Rather than contribute to the over-population of domestic animals, Lucky Paws has all animals altered, so the breeding ends with us. Additionally, we are able to take care of health issues that would otherwise be too expensive for an adopter to pay, putting the animal at risk of euthanasia, since most shelters do not have the funds for medical.
