Regularly and consistently monitors and enforces its conflict of interest policies through the following procedures: it shall be the continuing responsibility of the board, officers, and management employees to scrutinize their transactions and outside business interests and relationships for potential conflicts and to immediately make such disclosures. Disclosure should be made according to derrick brooks charities, inc. Standards. Transactions with related parties may be under taken only if all of the following are observed: 1. A material transaction is fully disclosed in the audited financial statements of the organization; 2. The related party is excluded from the discussion and approval of such transaction; 3. A competitive bid or comparable valuation exists; and 4. The organization's board has acted upon and demonstrated that the transaction is in the best interest of the organization. Disclosure in the organization should be made to the chief executive (or if she or he is the one with the conflict, then to the board chair), who shall determine whether a conflict exists and is material, and if the matters are material, bring them to the attention of the board chair. Disclosure involving directors should be made to the board chair, who shall bring these matters, if material, to the board. Derrick brooks charities, inc undertook a new program service in 2014. The tuf talk life skills academy is a 10 week life skills course. The charity worked with two city of tampa centers and 4 boys and girls clubs for a total of 140 high school students in the initial phase of the program. The goal is to measure the outcomes from the initial launch and to make plans to increase/enhance the program for the second half of the school year. There are a total of 8 units in the series which ultimately will include the 4 years of high school. Areas to be covered include decision making and self definition, goal setting and time management, identifying emotions, tools, and techniques to adjust behavior productively, life fuel - how to be healthy physically, mentally, and socially, making the right choices, overcoming obstacles, money management, and communication skills.

SERVICES WERE ALSO DELIVERED TO TWO NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE CENTERS, THE WILBUR DAVIS BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB, AND THE JUVENILE DIVERSION/TEEN COURT PROGRAM. DARRELL DANIELS IS PAID BY DERRICK BROOKS CHARITIES TO DIRECTLY CARRY OUT THE PROGRAM'S ACTIVITIES. THE PROGRAM MET AND EXCEEDED GOALS TO ASSIST YOUTH IN DEVELOPING POSITIVE SELF-ESTEEM, RESIST NEGATIVE PEER PRESSURE AND GANG INVOLVEMENT, AND TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR EDUCATIONAL AND VOCATIONAL GOALS.--THE BLACK ON BLACK CRIME PREVENTION PROGRAM WAS DESIGNED TO DRAW ATTENTION TO THE PROBLEM OF CRIME IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY AND THE NEED FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT AND THE COMMUNITY TO WORK TOGETHER. AT THE LEE DAVIS NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE CENTER, LOCATED AT 3402 NORTH 22ND STREET. YOUTH ANGER MANAGEMENT AND BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION TRAINING SESSIONS FOR YOUTH AND PARENTS ARE CONDUCTED EVERY MONDAY AT 5:30 P.M. AT THE SAME LOCATION.
