Financial Statement Notes

Schedule D, Page 2, Part IV, Line 2B

The organization collects a security deposit from each new tenant. The monies are held in a separate account. The funds are released back to the tenant when the tenant moves out if certain requirements are met.

Schedule D, Page 3, Part X

Crowhaven apartments, inc. Qualifies as a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and is classified by the internal revenue service as other than a private foundation. As a result, there is no provision for federal income taxes in these financial statements and no federal income taxes were paid. Management believes that crowhaven apartments, inc. Has adequately addressed all relevant tax positions and there are no unrecorded tax liabilities. Generally, crowhaven apartments, inc.'s tax returns remain open for three years for federal income tax examination. The project does not believe it likely that changes will occur within the next fiscal year that will have a material impact on the financial statements.

AS A RESULT, THERE IS NO PROVISION FOR FEDERAL INCOME TAXES IN THESE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND NO FEDERAL INCOME TAXES WERE PAID. MANAGEMENT BELIEVES THAT CROWHAVEN APARTMENTS, INC. HAS ADEQUATELY ADDRESSED ALL RELEVANT TAX POSITIONS AND THERE ARE NO UNRECORDED TAX LIABILITIES. GENERALLY, CROWHAVEN APARTMENTS, INC.'S TAX RETURNS REMAIN OPEN FOR THREE YEARS FOR FEDERAL INCOME TAX EXAMINATION. THE PROJECT DOES NOT BELIEVE IT LIKELY THAT CHANGES WILL OCCUR WITHIN THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR THAT WILL HAVE A MATERIAL IMPACT ON THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS.
