“Earth rising, inc. Provides a recreational retreat center located in a natural setting specifically for cultural and spriritual educational purposes. Earth rising sponsors and coordinates events and gatherings throughout the year, as well as provides facilities for other organizations, where they can meet in a safe and convenient location. We provide and promote an environment which encourages respect and tolerance for all religious and spiritual pathways, ethnicities, cultures, ability levels, political beliefs, and sexual orientation by teaching the value of all life on earth and our interconnctedness. Many of the groups and individuals we serve might not otherwise have access to the same level of facilities that we offer. Earth rising provides programming which teaches eco-friendly practices, and maintains extensive nature trails where participants can reconnect with the earth. Groups are encouraged to develop a broad awareness of their impact to the land, and are asked to follow our mission statement to promote tolerance and spiritual growth. A variety of speakers and workshops happen during events which support our goals. Our rental groups are either non profit corporations or community based groups whose members run and operate the event. Attendees who are financially challenged can participate in our work exchange programs. All board members and staff are volunteers, which keeps our fee structure affordable. Work weekends and group meals happen throughout the year to promote community and spirit. We maintain and operate a 168-acre facility with a 16-acre lake, large dining hall, meeting hall, 9 cabins, a bath house, and a large covered pavilion, as well as many acres of wooded and open space suitable for tenting. Our camp can be rented exclusively for large groups, portions of the camp can be rented for smaller groups, and individuals can attend on their own. Our facility is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is large enough to handle 1,500 attendees.”
