The chief human resources officer completes a comprehensive review of all positions, job descriptions and duties, alongside a comparative rate study of the job market utilizing culpepper compensation surveys, professional organization survey results, and bls data. Based on that study, the ceo could make proper market adjustments to the other officers compensation. The full study was last conducted in 2022 with the chief human resources officer consistently using compensation surveys to determine salary expectations in accordance with kc care's compensation plan.”
“An independent accounting firm prepares the 990 after the completion of the financial audit. The 990 workpapers are completed by the controller. The 990 draft is reviewed by the organization's chief financial officer and the finance and operation committee. Any changes requested are made by the accounting firm. The 990 draft is then provided to all governing board members (either at the next scheduled board meeting or included in the board packet mailing) with a response time for questions and/or comments. Discussion takes place at the actual board meeting, issues are taken to the accounting firm for resolution. The final 990 is provided to the board prior to its filing with the irs.”
“The clinic's conflict of interest policy states that employees, board members and volunteers should avoid any activity, investment, or interst that may reflect unfavorably on the reputation of the clinic. Employees, board members and volunteers are expected to seek clarification of, and discuss, any questions about potential conflicts of interest with their supervisor, or another clinic manager or director. The conflict of interest policy is included in the employee, board member and volunteer handbooks. Annual surveys are completed by the clinic officers, directors, and key employees to update any conflicts of interset. KC CARE IS A FEDERALLY QUALIFIED HEALTH CENTER AND CERTIFIED AS A PATIENT-CENTERED MEDICAL HOME BY THE NATIONAL COUNCIL ON QUALITY ASSURANCE. WE OPERATE THREE LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT URBAN KANSAS CITY. SERVICE OFFERINGS INCLUDE MEDICAL, DENTAL, AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CARE AS WELL AS PHARMACY AND WRAPAROUND SUPPORT PROGRAMS. IN THE 2024-2025 FISCAL YEAR, KC CARE SERVED 21,335 INDIVIDUALS THROUGH 82,009 ENCOUNTERS. THIS INCLUDES 15,987 PATIENTS IN PRIMARY CARE; 3,334 PATIENTS IN DENTAL; 1,581 PATIENTS IN BEHAVIORAL HEALTH; AND 4,706 PATIENTS IN OUR WRAPAROUND SUPPORT PROGRAMS. OF THESE PATIENTS, 65% LIVED ON INCOMES AT OR BELOW 200% OF THE FEDERAL POVERTY LEVEL, AND MORE THAN 70% WERE UNINSURED OR UNDERINSURED. |
