Activity 2

County support - 4-h programs exist in every one of iowa's 99 counties, and the foundation supplies support to raise money to keep these programs strong. County support helps provide for specific county endowments, pays for staff, assists with funding for club programs, provides grants for community service projects, and assists with marketing to recruit more young people into 4-h, growing the nearly 105,000 person 4-h program accross the state.

Activity 3

State 4-h programs - state wide 4-h programs provide leadership opportunities and support for some of iowa 4-h's largest activities, programs, and project areas. Support for state 4-h conference helps keep the event registration fees low so approximately 900-1,000 youth are able to attend every year. The foundation helps underwrite state 4-h council, state 4-h awards, national 4-h congress, national 4-h conference, supports 4-h project areas such as: livestock, stem (science, technology, engineering and math), omk (operation military kids), sess (safety education through shooting sports), volunteer trainings and recognition (volunteer pins and hall of fame), and operations and project competitions at the iowa state fair.
