Activity 2

The end of polio - the organization initiated new partnerships with advocacy groups in brunei and pakistan. The organization toured canada, the united kingdom and the united states with our polio campaign message, engaged thousands of additional supporters and secured over $30m of additional funding from governments towards polio eradication efforts. Additionally, the orgnanization co-hosted a high level meeting on polio eradication at the 67th session of the united nations general assembly, which was attended by heads of governments, bill gates and the un secretary-general.

Activity 3

Live below the line - an experiential and fundraising campaign, the challenge is to spend 5 days living on the local equivalent of the extreme poverty line of $1.50 for all food and drink. The campaign provides participants with an insight into the lack of choices and opportunity faced by those living in extreme poverty, and the way that broken systems can trap hard working people in extreme poverty. The campaign raised $3.2m for charity partners worldwide in 2012.
