| IRS990/Desc | 0 | Palmer Memorial Foundation was established in 1975 as a non-profit organization whose sole objective and purpose is to fund the healthcare needs of northeast Iowa. Over the years, gifts large and small have assisted the Foundation in providing new technology, education, services and programs to the community and Palmer Lutheran Health Center. During 2013, Palmer Memorial Foundation granted funds for the following items: Littman Classic II SE stethoscope, phlebotomy cart with tray, 2 wheelchairs, diatom tonometer pen, lift chair, exergen temporal artery thermometers, volunteer appreciation gifts, backpacks for homecare nurses, leadership education materials, nugget icemaker and water dispenser, IV poles, medication trainer, speech therapy handheld spirometry, combined suture cart, adult airway management trainer, speech therapy kits, ultratec uniphone devices, personal assistance listening devices, GXT treadmill/computer system and grief support group materials. Other programming included an internet safety program at local school districts and numerous community service projects. |
