“Joy international's activities are volunteer-driven. Last year more than 100 volunteers gave their time and talents in areas of publicity, social media, table hostessing, facilitating small groups, prayer, decorating, teaching seminars, leadership and administration. Volunteers received many benefits--the joy of serving, making a difference, finding new friends, developing their strengths, and growing spiritually. In 2017 joy international conducted the following activities: joy breakfast--more than 700 women attended. This event was promoted through social media, postcard mailings, flyers, church contacts, posters, and radio and tv interviews. Joy connection groups--several home groups that met weekly for bible study, prayer, and friendship java joy--monthly coffee-house gatherings that featured local speakers and discussions on issues of life and faith. Open to all women in the community. Prayer group--women met regularly to pray community helps--christmas party, program, and gifts for teen challenge women social media--regular facebook posts, twitter, and blogging to encourage and enrich the joy community leadership team--comprised of bonnie estabrook, director, and her team of volunteers. They met regularly to plan and to provide vision, direction, strategy, and administrative oversight. The various team leaders planned and implemented the activities.”
