For the first time in 50 years, the school is providing lunch and all day classes. We constructed a new classroom and provided new computers, sewing machines, and a furnished kitchen. We also provide salaries to two deaf teaching assistants, a cook and a wood arts instructor. Currently there are 36 students benefiting.”

SPECIAL NEEDS PROJECT: 9,257 PROGRAM PROVIDES RESOURCES PRIMARILY TO TWO LOCAL INSTITUTIONS CARING FOR DISABLED ORPHANS, AND A CATHOLIC HOME FOR THE ELDERLY INDIGENT. A TOTAL OF 96 BENEFICIARIES. COLLEGE EDUCATION SUPPORT: 9,168 PROVIDES 16 DISADVANTAGED WOMEN WITH A MONTHLY STIPEND TO DEFER COLLEGE EXPENSES, TRANSPORTATION AND SUPPLIES. THESE YOUNG WOMEN ALSO PROVIDE MENTORING TO 150 HIGH RISK GIRLS FROM THE BARRIOS OF PUERTO PLATA. |
