Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The minnesota biodiesel council is involved in promoting the use and understanding of biodiesel, educating consumers and biodiesel partners, and to work with the legislature to improve the biodiesel industry.

Directors, officers and hired professionals will monitor pending legislation and will contact and meet with legislators and executive branch officials in order to educate them about the benefits of biodiesel. In addition, the organization will solicit support, financial and otherwise, from all stakeholders in the biodiesel value chain. The organization initiated these activities at the beginning of the 2001 legislative session in january, 2001.
