The sole purpose of the taxpayer is to preserve, maintain and operate the historic carousel for the benefit and pleasure of the people of minnesota and to promote an understanding of the historic and artistic value of this carousel and others.

“The cpa prepares the form 990. The operations director prepares annual financial statements that are reviewed in detail with the board of directors at a board meeting. The financials and related workingpapers are provided to our cpa firm for their compilation. The form 990 is discussed with our president and the board and a resolution obtained for approval to file with the minnesota attorney general's office. The president signs the minnesota annual report which has a copy of form 990 attached and of which he gets a copy.”
