Women's shelter, inc. Is exempt from income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and similar minnesota statutes. The organization has also been classified as an entity that is not a private foundation within the meaning of section 509(a) and qualifies for deductible contributions as provided in section 170(b)(1)(a)(vi). There is no material unrelated business income for the year ended december 31, 2016. The organization has not been audited by the internal revenue service or minnesota revenue, and accordingly, any unrelated business income tax returns for the past three and one-half years are open to examination.
