Governance Explanations

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

The organization's 990 was reviewed and discussed by the board of directors prior to filing.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

Conflict of interest forms are signed each year and conflicts are noted when such discussions arise. There are typically no conflict of interest issues for board or for staff.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15

An annual budget is constructed to include maximum anticipated wages and increases during the budget period. The budget is approved and all but the executive director compensation is decided by the executive director and other supervisors for their staff. Guidelines and increase recommendations are given to the supervisors and discussed with the executive director to ensure the wage decisions are in alignment with the approved budget. The executive director's compensation is set by the board of directors with recommendation from the executive committee.

Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19

The organization makes its governing documents, conflict of interest policy and financial statements available to the public upon request.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization's policy is to evaluate the likelihood that any uncertain tax positions will prevail upon examination based on the extent to which those positions have substantial support within the irc, revenue rulings, cort decisions, and other evidence. It is the opinion of management that the organization has no significant uncertain tax positions that would be subject to change upon examination. Accordingly, the organiztion has not recorded any reserve or related accruals for interest and penalties for uncertain income tax positions as of march 31, 2025. The federal and state income tax returns of the organization are subject to examination by the income taxing authorities, generally for three years after they were filed. Interest and penalties, in any, assessed by income taxing authorities, will be recorded in managment and general expenses.
