“Provide central minnesota residents with cultural and musical enrichment through live symphony concerts and special programs; offering local musicians and students opportunities for symphonic performance training; and partnering with central minnesota education institutions in developing outstanding music education programs for area youth.”

“Presented three concert series to approximately 1600 people. This was the 41st anniversary season presenting quality live classical music entertainment to the central minnesota area. This group is a 50-piece volunteer community orchestra from the central minnesota area.”

“Guest artists and local soloists and ensembles are brought in to perform at the concerts to make each concert unique and entertaining. Often times the special guest artists are made available for presentation of hands-on music education workshops in local schools while they are visiting the area. These music clinics are presented free to the schools and the students who attend them. All concerts are free for youth through high school age. Flannery cunningham was selected as the winner of the 2018 composers' competition. Her original work, "clarion", was performed by the orchestra as part of their spring concert series. Cunningham is a phd candidate at the university of pennsylvania. She has also scored, performed, and sound designed for theatrical and dance productions in oxford, uk and new york.”
