The mission of groves learning organization is to build confidence and success for learners, particularly those with learning differences such as dyslexia, adhd and executive function challenges. Through research-based approaches and transformative learning experiences that meet the needs of each unique learner, our vision is to redefine the way our nation is taught, one student, one teacher, and one school at a time.

Governance Explanations

The board finance/audit committee will provide oversight to the annual preparation of form 990. This committee is responsible to provide periodic reports and updates to the board of trustees. Prior to filing form 990, each voting member of the board of trustees will be provided a full copy of form 990 and the opportunity to comment.

Compensation levels are determined after considering the competitive market in which groves competes for talent, the institution's progress in fulfilling its mission, and performance feedback gathered from the committee and other key constituencies. Compensation decisions for the president are determined and approved by the executive committee. Compensation decisions for other key employees are recommended by the president and reviewed and approved by the executive committee.

TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CHILDREN NOT ATTENDING GA EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION, GA EXPANDED ITS OFFERINGS BY CREATING THE LEARNING CENTER (LC) AT GROVES ACADEMY. THE LC SUPPORTS FAMILIES AND EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COMMUNITY THROUGH THE DELIVERY OF SPECIALIZED SERVICES FOR STUDENTS DIAGNOSED WITH A RANGE OF LEARNING DISABILITIES. IN 2016, GA DETERMINED ITS NEXT EXPANSION WOULD BE TO BECOME A CATALYST FOR SYSTEMS CHANGE IN LITERACY INSTRUCTION. THE INSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL LEARNING (IPL) WAS ESTABLISHED TO SHARE GA'S PROVEN GROVES LITERACY FRAMEWORK WITH TEACHERS AND EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COMMUNITY COMMITTED TO ENSURING THE CHILDREN THEY SERVE ARE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO REACH THEIR READING POTENTIAL.
