Supplemental Narrative

Additional Explanations

FORM 990, PART XII, LINE 2C:

The organization has not changed either its audit oversight process or independent accountant selection process during the tax year.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization follows the provisions of fasb asc 740-10-50, which clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in the organization's financial statements. The codification prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for the financial statement recognition and measurement of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. The codification also provides guidance on derecognition and measurement of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. The adoption of this guidance did not significantly impact the organization's evaluation on its tax positions. The organization did not have unrecognized tax benefits as of december 31, 2013 and does not expect this to change significantly over the next 12 months. In connection with the provision of fasb asc 740-10-50, the organization would recognize interest and penalties, if any, associated with the organization's tax positions as a component of unrelated business income tax expense on the consolidated statements of activities. As of december 31, 2013 and 2012, the organization has not accrued interest or penalties related to uncertain tax positions.

Form 990, Schedule D, Part VI, Line 1D

The organization performed a physical review of equipment and furnishings in 2013. Several assets were identified as no longer in use, and were subsequently removed from the subsidiary ledger. The total cost and corresponding accumulated depreciation removed from the balance sheet as of december 31, 2013 was $89,617.
