Mission

To be the leader in the dissemination of knowledge in the areas of professional business practices and creative image-making, and to define and maintain the industry's standards of excellence.

Today, professional photographers of america (ppa) is the world's largest nonprofit association for professional photographers with more than 20,000 members. The association seeks to increase its members' business savvy as well as broaden their creative scope and advance members' careers by providing tools for success. In addition, the association strives to promote professional photography, increase public appreciation and awareness of professional photographers and set standards and maintain quality within the profession.
