Mission

To establish a permanent endowment fund or funds to receive and administer funds and to be operated solely for charitable purposes for the benefit of samaritas, a michigan nonprofit corporation ("samaritas") and/or its subsidiaries and affiliated entities, to be used solely to assist in fulfilling the capital and program services requirements. To provide support exclusively to samaritas to enable it to accomplish its mission of serving others. To accept gifts, devises and bequests of property, both real and personal, including endowment funds, outright or in trust, and to invest, manage and/or distribute the same and the proceeds thereof for the uses of this foundation.

To provide for the receipt of contributions and bequests for the benefits of supporting the mission of samaritas.

Any trustee or officer having a conflict of interest or possible conflict of interest should not vote or use his or her personal influence on the matter, should not be present during consideration of the matter, and should not be counted in determining a quorum for the meeting at which the matter is voted upon. Any conflicts or potential conflicts are documented in the board meeting minutes.
