Financial Statement Notes

PART III, LINE 4:

Michigan pharmacy foundation possesses historical collectibles related to the pharmacy profession. The collection includes antique storage cabinets, bookshelves, and apothecary cupboards, apothecary jars and pharmacy bottles, nineteenth century porcelain canisters, a whitehall tatum cast metal suppository-making machine, michigan drug company cased scale, a collection of 33 volumes of classic books and handbooks related to the trade, and other miscellaneous memorabilia related to the pharmacy industry. The collection preserves items of historical significance for future generations and serves as a representation of a past era of the pharmacy profession.

PART X, LINE 2:

In the preparation of tax returns, tax positions are taken based on interpretation of federal, state and local income tax laws. Management periodically reviews and evaluates the status of uncertain tax positions and makes estimates of amounts, including interest and penalties, ultimately due or owed. No amounts have been identified, or recorded, as uncertain tax positions. Federal, state and local tax returns generally remain open for examination by the various taxing authorities for a period of three to four years.
