“The mission of the grand river environmental action team (great) is to promote the protection and preservation of the grand river watershed through activities and educational programs.”

“The organization conducts several canoe excursions every year to encourage area residents to learn about the river and to gain an appreciation of the river. The general public is invited to these excursions. Typically about 100 persons other than officers and directors attend these events during the course of the year.”
