Examples include crisis line volunteer, male or children mentor, office volunteer, prevention education volunteer, residential volunteer, social action volunteer, speakers bureau volunteer, support service volunteer, and teen advisory council among others.”

For cases referred for prosecution, sexual assault nurse examiners provide expert testimony and advocates give victims support during court proceedings. Total clients served in the 2018 fiscal year - 18 under the age of 11, and 246 over the age of 11. Prevention education: trained educators work with young people, and their teachers and parents, to equip them with the tools to make better choices, to build relationships based on mutual respect, and to understand what consent means. Educators also provide professional training to health care providers, law enforcement, clergy, and members of the public on the dynamics of domestic violence, sexual assault, and the root causes of these issues.
