Mission

To provide services to member organizations including professional development training for school administrators and teachers, research and program development support and conducting conferences on current issues in education. To create a better understanding and support for urban school districts through professional development, task force meetings, enrollment projections and legislative impacts.

To serve as an advocate for member districts to ensure quality education for urban students.

PART V, LINE 4:

“Permanently restricted contributions are required to be maintained in perpetuity and only the income can be used for purposes specified by the donor. The earnings from the temporarily restricted net assets are used for the muth leadership awards.”

PART X, LINE 2:

“In the preparation of tax returns, tax positions are taken based on interpretation of federal, state and local income tax laws. Management periodically reviews and evaluates the status of uncertain tax positions and makes estimates of amounts, including interest and penalties, ultimately due or owed. No amounts have been identified, or recorded, as uncertain tax positions. Federal, state and local tax returns generally remain open for examination by the various taxing authorities for a period of three to four years.”
