“Form 990-ez, part iii, line 28 continued: during 2024, the old state capitol was closed for major renovations, but the foundation continued its support by funding the creation of a new website to promote education and awareness about the sites. Two metal benches were purchased to be used for outdoor seating at the lincoln tomb, and an event was held there to comemmorate the 150th anniversary of the tomb. Participation in several community acivities provided opportunities to raise awareness of and educate the public about the historic sites. The foundation also hosted holiday events for the general public with a focus on youth activities. Planning for the lincoln-herndon law office restoration project continued. Funding was provided for an appreciation dinner for site volunteers.”
