Great lakes east - the great lakes east comprehensive center, a five-year contract funded by the us department of education serving the states of indiana, michigan, and ohio, works closely with other technical assistance providers, regional comprehensive centers, national content centers, and regional educational laboratories. Great lakes east focuses technical assistance and support to address topics identified by and tailored to the needs of each individual state department of education and the priorities of the us department of education related to no child left behind (nclb) implementation.

Activity 3

National center on technical quality - learning point associates (lpa) establishes and operates a national content center for teacher quality in order to support a program of work intended to provide states with technical assistance designed to raise states' capacity to help districts and schools meet the highly qualified teacher provisions in the no child left behind act of 2001 (nclb). Lpa assists states with enhancing teacher quality and ensuring equitable access to highly effective teachers-especially in high poverty, low performing schools and teachers serving students with special needs.
