Playa supports innovative thinking through work in the arts, literature, natural sciences and other fields of creative inquiry and encourages dialogue between disciplines to bring positive change to the environment and the world.”

“Playaresidency: the flagship program of playa, this fellowship award provides artists and scientists (approximately 150 per year) time and space to create at playa's 65-acre facility for two-, four-, and eight-week residencies. Residents are provided lodging, two meals a week, studio space and many other benefits allowing them to focus their creative energies on their work and to share them during the residency as they wish with other playa residents and local communities.”

“Playapresents. Playa residents offer monthly open studios and presentations that are always free and open to the general public. Playapresents has scheduled the time of its events on sundays so they are more accessible to students and families in the region. Playa has arranged for a free bus service to pick up residents of local communities in lakeview, paisley, summer lake and christmas valley to encourage attendance at these events.”
