“Draft 990: a draft of form 990 is provided to the budget and finance committee for review. The results of this review are then reported to the executive committee.”

“Conflict of interest policy: the organization continuously monitors compliance - should any issue come before the board where a perceived conflict, however remote, may arise, the chair will ask the question and should a conflict be identified that board member or members will be asked to recuse themselves from either the vote or the discussion entirely. Also, if a board member feels that there may be a conflict, they are obliged to bring that up to the board for discussion and subsequent decision and action. The aforementioned is made a matter of record in our minutes. As it relates to the staff, they are obligated to disclose any possible conflict to the president for subsequent evaluation and decision. Should the president have a conflict he is obligated to bring it to the chairman and executive committee. Failure to do so in either case can end in termination.”

“Fin 48 footnote text from audited financial statements: the organization is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(6) of the internal revenue code and has been determined not to be a private foundation. Management has evaluated the effect of the guidance provided by gaap related to accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. Management has determined that the organization continues to satisfy the requirements of a tax-exempt organization at june 30, 2018. Management has evaluated all their tax positions that could have a significant effect on the financial statements and determined the organization had no uncertain income tax positions at june 30, 2018 and 2017. Tax years from 2015 going forward are open and subject to examination by the internal revenue service.”
