FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

The association undertakes projects that reduce community deterioration through the renovation of vacant and deter- ioted buildings and through providing space for new or expanding businesses that reverse the decline in employment opportunities.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4D

Ucda has successfully renovated three historic buildings in uniontown, wa giving new life to the town as well as jobs and commerce. The first project was an old brewery building which is now a thriving bakery. The second project was the dahmen barn, taking a delapidated shell and turning it into an educational center. The barn has tremendous local economic benefit with classes, dances, demonstations and per- formances. Local artisans create, show and sell their creations to the steady flow of visitors. The third undertaking of ucda is and old community market on main street. The vollmer building has undergone extensive remodel and now houses a local winery and a food processing tenant. This fiscal year the ucda completed an addition to the dahmen barn, the loafing shed.
