“The upper midwest communications conclave (conclave) annually provides the ownership, management, and employees of federally licensed radio broadcasting stations and companies services of educational merit, ultimately benefitting the public interest those entities are licensed to serve through improved on and off-air programming reach and frequency. It's mission: through education, improving the quality of broadcasting. It maintains a website (http:www.theconclave.com) updating all who visit on details regarding the various educational programs of the conclave, especially its summer conference. It involves the commercial and non- commercial radio industries - including traditional and social media serving those industries - to help recruit candidates to receive conclave scholarships - to the radio industry, vocational/training schools, to students enrolled in baccalaureate programs inside the region and to music industry vocational/training school. These scholarships, provided by three schools (brown college, specs howard school of communication arts, mcnally-smith college of music) in 2015 and facilitated by the conclave, are worth over 50,000 and are annually awarded at the summer conclave learning conference.”
