“Ahima has members and has no stockholders. Ahima membership entitles individuals to participate in ahima's programs and services. Ahima has two types of members: professional and student. Ahima members support the mission and purposes of ahima and abide by the ahima code of ethics. Professional members have voting rights, including election of the governing body.”

Any director or officer of ahima may be removed by the recommendation of a majority of the board of directors and an affirmative vote of 2/3 of the professional members voting by electric ballot.”
