Activity 2

The Early Childhood Education programs provide head Start Partnerships with private preschool programs to integrate Head Start services within their child care facilities. Educational programs for preschool children ages three to five, and early childhood programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers are provided with activities that help them grow mentally, socially, emotionally and physically. These services are provided to children whose families meet federal income guidelines. The program also includes a full inclusive child care program for children ages six weeks to five years of age for the General Service Administration.

Activity 3

The Youth and Adult Services program assists economically disadvantaged of Cook County to obtain job training and placement. Dislocated workers are assisted in getting back to work, with training for a new occupation in existing job sectors are are currently hiring. Individuals seeking employment get help to stay on the path to economic self sufficiency. Services are also provided to youth residing in low income households between the ages of 16 and 21 with barriers to employment or continuing education. The program helps youth develop a plan for the future, obtain career building skills and gain work experience. Trained youth development professionals provide positive role modeld and mentoring.
