Governance Explanations

The organization is made up of one class of members who pay dues annually to receive benefits. Individuals who are no longer active in mechanical contracting and have rendered unusual and outstanding services to the association may be elected by members as life members. Life members do not pay dues and do not have voting privileges.

All officers and directors shall be elected by the members at the annual meeting of the association.

All trustees sign a conflict of interest form annually, and are required to disclose conflicts of interest when they become aware of any potential conflict of interest.

Although the association does not have its own written compensation policy it does use the survey put out by asae. It is verbally agreed on to base the raises on cost of living and the bonuses are based on performance.
