Mission and Program Overview

Mission

To provide value to its member companies and the water and wastewater industry through research initiatives, standards development, and focusing activities on promotion of ductile iron pipe. Dipra will facilitate increased quality and competitiveness through the transfer of technology and dissemination of best practices.

To foster public service by conducting research and providing accurate, reliable engineering information about its members' products to a variety of pipe users and specifiers.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

“The association is exempt from income taxes under section 501(c)(6) of the internal revenue code. The association pays income taxes on gross income from any unrelated trade or business income less direct expenses. There was no income tax paid on such unrelated trade or business income for the years ended december 31, 2017 and 2016. The association files a tax return in the u.s. Federal jurisdiction. The board of directors evaluated the association's tax position and concluded that the association has not entered into any events or transactions that would disqualify its tax-exempt status or has not taken any uncertain tax positions that would cause the association to incur income taxes or penalties at the entity level. With few exceptions, the association is no longer subject to u.s. Federal tax examinations by tax authorities for years before 2014.”
