Chapter assistance - the fraternity has chapters located throughout the united states. The fraternity supports the development of these chapter facilities and building corporations by lending money and managing property sites.

Activity 3

Providing a quality membership experience requires countless programming opportunities to undergraduate and alumnae members alike. Alpha xi delta is proud to offer a range of programming to entice and educate women at all stages in their membership. Alpha xi delta's magazine "the quill" allows us to promote the incredible accomplishments of our members-both internally and externally. With a circulation of over 72,000 it is a source of pride for the organization. Alpha xi delta's summer leadership training entitled "the workout", held on the off-year of convention, teaches our women conversation techniques-reaching members who are at the novice level and expanding to help them achieve conversation greatness through exercises and workshops. In today's media-driven society, the skill of conversation is one that has to be taught and will prove valuable throughout the lives of the women in our membership. Regionally based volunteers plan and host a mid-year leadership training titled area wide training (awt). Women in attendance learn the basics of being a new officer as well as tactics to increase their campus presence through positive public relations efforts; importance of on-campus involvement; updates on how to incorporate our philanthropy, autism speaks, into the chapter calendar of events. Additionally, they were shown a webinar on the fraternity's partnership with allone health's student talk one-2-one program a telephonic, 24/7/365 counseling service that is offered to our membership at no additional cost. Alpha xi delta's membership development program, realize your potential, allows a chapter to choose what subject areas would most benefit its membership in four core areas: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. Each of these four areas has several workshops designed for chapter self-facilitation. The fraternity places value in assessing a member's experience to ensure that the organization is reaching the goals it sets forth in achieving. The university learning outcomes assessment (uniloa) was created by student development professionals. It measures student development in 7 areas: critical thinking, self-awareness, communication, diversity, citizenship, membership and leadership, and relationships. We are proud that our members are rating higher in these areas than non-affiliated students. Assessment is an important piece in the realm of higher education. Alpha xi delta knows that being a member makes a significant difference in the lives of the women who join. Being able to provide quantitative data solidifies our place in higher education.
