“Board chair and vice chair routinely discussed the conflict of interest policy with the executive director to ensure full compliance with the policy. In addition, the policy is addressed during the year in both executive sessions and board meetings.”

“Salaries are set for the two key employees (executive director and director of hr operations) after the chair and vice chair review similar organizations and experiences/skills. Compensation and benefits were deemed reasonable and within acceptable industry standards. The board chair and vice chair have regularly reviewed key employee compensation. Because of the organization's size and start-up nature, key employee compensation has remained the same since the start of the non-profit.”
