The d.r.e.a.m. Alive afterschool program provides holistic afterschool programming focused on academic achievement, service learning, and character development for middle school youth. The program provides participants with the tools, resources necessary to be academically competitive, develop into active engaged community members, and use value based decision-making skills in their daily lives. In 2015, this program was offered at harshman middle school, shortridge middle school, shortridge high school, arlington middle school and arlington high school. The after school program served 316 plus youth in the academic year providing 4,050 hours of academic help, 4,050 hours of community service, 2,225 hours of mentoring, and 4,050 hours of experiential learning. Additionally, d.r.e.a.m. Alive implemeted their 2.0 program that provided d.r.e.a.m. Alive programming for sports teams, band programs and other school groups in a more compact schedule.

The d.r.e.a.m. Christmas program brings together community members to provide in-kind support for deserving families during the christmas season. Recipient families, donors and dream alive supporters come together for an evening of fun and gift exchange to celebrate this annual program. By partnering with shcool social workers, d.r.e.a.m. Alive selects recipient families who have experienced a recent crisis to recieve gifts, clothes and food during the holiday season. In 2015, this program worked with three different agencies in indianapolis to provide christmas for 100 needy children and their families. Additionally, it is an opportunity for d.r.e.a.m. Alive scholars to learn about caring for others in their community. Over 120 d.r.e.a.m. Alive scholars participated in this program.

RECIPIENT FAMILIES, DONORS AND DREAM ALIVE SUPPORTERS COME TOGETHER FOR AN EVENING OF FUN AND GIFT EXCHANGE TO CELEBRATE THIS ANNUAL PROGRAM. BY PARTNERING WITH SHCOOL SOCIAL WORKERS, D.R.E.A.M. ALIVE SELECTS RECIPIENT FAMILIES WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED A RECENT CRISIS TO RECIEVE GIFTS, CLOTHES AND FOOD DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON. IN 2015, THIS PROGRAM WORKED WITH THREE DIFFERENT AGENCIES IN INDIANAPOLIS TO PROVIDE CHRISTMAS FOR 100 NEEDY CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. ADDITIONALLY, IT IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR D.R.E.A.M. ALIVE SCHOLARS TO LEARN ABOUT CARING FOR OTHERS IN THEIR COMMUNITY. OVER 120 D.R.E.A.M. ALIVE SCHOLARS PARTICIPATED IN THIS PROGRAM.

THE PROGRAM PROVIDES PARTICIPANTS WITH THE TOOLS, RESOURCES NECESSARY TO BE ACADEMICALLY COMPETITIVE, DEVELOP INTO ACTIVE ENGAGED COMMUNITY MEMBERS, AND USE VALUE BASED DECISION-MAKING SKILLS IN THEIR DAILY LIVES. IN 2015, THIS PROGRAM WAS OFFERED AT HARSHMAN MIDDLE SCHOOL, SHORTRIDGE MIDDLE SCHOOL, SHORTRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL, ARLINGTON MIDDLE SCHOOL AND ARLINGTON HIGH SCHOOL. THE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM SERVED 316 PLUS YOUTH IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR PROVIDING 4,050 HOURS OF ACADEMIC HELP, 4,050 HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE, 2,225 HOURS OF MENTORING, AND 4,050 HOURS OF EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING. ADDITIONALLY, D.R.E.A.M. ALIVE IMPLEMETED THEIR 2.0 PROGRAM THAT PROVIDED D.R.E.A.M. ALIVE PROGRAMMING FOR SPORTS TEAMS, BAND PROGRAMS AND OTHER SCHOOL GROUPS IN A MORE COMPACT SCHEDULE.
