The organization follows guidance for uncertain income tax positions that prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for financial statement recognition and measurement of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return and also provides guidance on various related matters such as derecognition, interest, penalties and disclosures required. For those benefits to be recognized, a tax position must be more-likely-than-not to be sustained upon examination by taxing authorities. In evaluating the organization's tax provisions and accruals, future taxable income, and the reversal of temporary differences interpretations, and tax planning strategies are considered. The organization believes their estimates are appropriate based on current facts and circumstances.
