Mission

Future Choices, Inc. was organized to provide access to services and to conduct activities to ensure that people with special needs and their families are empowered to make personal choices from a wide range of acceptable options which lead to the greatest level of independence.

The mission is to provide unlimited options for minorities, youth, and Hoosiers with disabilities. The Organization is an open door, call in service provider that values the diginity of every person regardless of race, color, religion, sex, family status, national origin and disabilities.

CILS are unique in that they operate according to a strict philosophy of consumer control, wherein people with all types of disabilities directly govern and staff the organization. The Centers provide peer support, information and referral, individual and systems advocacy, independent living skills training and transition. Future Choices has served 286 consumers across 11 counties and accomplished 1294 information and referrals during the reporting year. Future Choices attended 60 community events during the year.
