Mission

Partners in housing development corporation was incorporated as an indiana not-for-profit corporation in november 1993. The mission is to provide affordable housing to the people who most need a stable place to live, while giving them support and a chance to reach their highest level of self-sufficiency. To meet these objectives, the corporation's activities include, but are not limited to, the acquisition, development, rehabilitation, construction, and management of real property for low income housing and to provide supportive services.

In order to identify and review conflict of interest, and the appearance of conflicts of interest, board members and employees must disclose in advance all outside activities and financial interest that create or have the appearance of creating conflicts of interest. Partners in housing development corporation is a consolidated financial statment. The consolidated financial statements include both financial data that is part of the form 990 as well as financial data in which separate tax returns are completed. Schedule d adjustments adjusts for the portion of the financial data that is not associated directly with this tax return.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The corporation is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and state income tax, and has been classified as an other than private foundation. Accordingly, no provision for federal and state taxes on revenue and income has been recognized in the accompanying consolidated financial statements. Generally, the federal and state tax returns were subject to examinations from the three years after the later of the original or extended due date, or the date filed with the applicable tax authority.
