Activity 2

Pi lamdba theta is the most selective honor society for undergraduate and graduate education majors. Its membership is limited to students and professionals who satisfy academic eligiblity requirements, making it a distinctive and well recognized honor. Once accepted into pi lambda theta, members receive educational horizons, the only magazine designed sprcifically for pre-service educators and teachers new to the profession. Additionally, members have access to scholarships supporting further study and funding for action-oriented research. Members also have access to international travel opportunities, career information, and resources to help develop classroom management skills.

Activity 3

The future educators association (fea) is the only federally recognized student organization dedicated to supporting young people interested in education-related careers. Founded in 1937, fea has helped thousands of students develop the skills and strong leadership traits that are found in high quality educators. Fea is recognized by the united stated department of education as a career and technical student organization (ctso), only one of 10 in the nation. Fea members are organized in high school based chapters and on college campuses. Members receive instructions and career information locally, and participate in demonstrations of teaching skills through state and national-level competitions. Members also receive go teach, a magazine devoted to providing students and adult advisors knowledge about the best teaching practices.
